A few months ago I was asked to make a few pies and smash cakes to celebrate the first birthdays of the ever-so-talented Courtney Leigh Brown's twin girls. We came up with some real crowd-pleasing flavors and I am so glad that I got to be a part of this special day for her darling little ones. My girl and I dropped off the order bright and early at her family's picturesque farmhouse in Montgomery and we left just completely smitten with her warm and friendly family. The morning dew, cows grazing and slow country roads were icing on the cake at that point.

There were so many creative people involved and to see the party come together in the way that it did was really something special. Courtney's vision and photos were flawless and I am literally counting the days until we get to work together again.

This lovely party was also feature on 100 Layer Cakelet yesterday and that means that I can officially cross that goal off my list! It's one of my favorite blogs and I was thrilled (THRILLED) to see some of my work featured on it. Thanks, Courtney!
